This nitwit misunderstands the purpose of the Olympics, too. The athletic competition is the excuse, but getting all the nations together to do something together is the real point of the Olympics. Sports are a universal and neutral thing in which all nations can participate, so it's a good vehicle for getting nations together. It is far from perfect, but that's a reflection of human nature.
