At this point 2C is still avoidable. Thanks to the explosion on affordable non destructive battery tech caused by the two massive spending bills by Biden, it's estimated that we could have a completely renewable grid by 2030, 5 years earlier than Biden was targeting in the bill. China might not be far behind with the first decline in coal use over the last 4 months. After that its going to require speeding up car replacement or better yet, eliminating car dependence. Then agro, manufacturing, ocean shipping and jet flight. Some ideas are already in the works such as hydrogen for flight and manufacturing or the pure carbon battery using electrocity to store and create heat at at the extreme temps for manufacturing using electricity. We have hope, it's going to take political will to do it. We even have a really good way to remove carbon from the air, LN2 batteries take air and convert it to liquid nitrogen which creates dry ice as a byproduct which can then be captured and stored. When energy is needed, the LN2 is released, expands, and runs a turbine converting the expansion into energy. We need more government money and more regulations first.
